In 1973 soccer was introduced as a sport at St Peter’s College. Initially only a handful of boys chose to play but it was not long before soccer established itself as a major sport. In 1980 a strong School First XI team wanted to continue to play together. This saw the forming of St Peter’s Old Collegians Soccer Club and in 1981 the Collegiate Soccer League (CSL) was formed in which SPOC SC were a founding member. Today, some 40 years on the club has 4 teams entered in the South Australian Amateur Soccer League competition with the A team in Division 1.
