The St Peter’s Old Collegians’ Soccer Club (SPOC SC) is now having a well-earned rest before we prepare for the 2026 season.

We are happy with what we achieved in the last year but aiming to keep improving moving forward. We are very pleased with our strong pool of young players and we hope to supplement this once again with some more recent (current Year Twelve) school leavers. A reminder to all alumni that even though we do have some players that did not attend the school, all Saints alumni get precedence and are guaranteed a playing position in a competitive match if they are a. available to play, b. financial to the Club, and c. have trained at least once in the preceding week.

Our end of season function was held at the Maid & Magpie Hotel, one of our major sponsors, and was a great success with very strong attendance, almost one hundred were present. We offer our congratulations to all award winners from that evening and all of those countless others who contribute over the course of a season in various capacities.

We also attended the Saints Year 12 barbecue function in the Sports Centre where we were a popular stand, with young players Will Renfrey, Ben Richards and Dejan Dimovic representing the Club very well. Our AGM was conducted in late October and went smoothly.

There will be some coaching changes in the upcoming season and we will advise those on the Club’s Facebook page at the first opportunity, but all of our principal Committee members – President, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer – were reappointed for another season with several new, younger players also joining as ordinary Committee members; a positive development.

Those considering coming to join the Club should be mindful that pre-season training will commence in the middle of January on the Caterer and Farr Ovals, and we will announce specific dates and timings before the end of this year.

We thank all at the school who help us in so many ways with administrative, financial and grounds maintenance support over the course of a year – we are most grateful for this and look forward to continuing that relationship into the future.
