From the Chairman | September 2024

As we reflect on the past few months, it's heartening to see the strength and reach of our network. The recent Chapter Dinners in Broken Hill, Perth, and London were true testaments to our global community, with the Headmaster making the journey to each of these locations. His presence underscored the importance of our connections, no matter where we are in the world.

Old Scholars Week was a particularly busy and rewarding time, filled with spirited competition and camaraderie. We hosted eight Intercol events, and I extend a sincere thank you to all participants and convenors who made these events such a success. It was also a pleasure to introduce the History Tour to this year's program, offering a fascinating look into our School’s rich heritage. Special thanks go to the young students who shared their knowledge and passion. The week culminated in our sold-out Annual Dinner, where we were treated to an array of wines from our talented alumni winemakers. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of these wineries and everyone who attended, making it a night to remember. Read about the event and see the photos here.

A special congratulations to the SPOC FC for their outstanding Showdown Lunch at the HWY. Events like these remind us of the power of our community when we come together to celebrate and support one another.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting lineup of events, including the Canberra Dinner, the SPOC Blues Lunch, and several Milestone Reunions. We’re also planning activities for the current Year 12 students as they prepare to join our ranks as the newest members of our alumni community.
