SPOC Basketball | End of Season 2026

SPOC Basketball Club have experienced yet another successful season, with our finals teams taking to the court throughout September.

Whilst the A Grade team finished 6th and missed finals due to being cruelled by injury, all other teams made finals in Saturday afternoon competition.

We've been particularly pleased with the commitment of our newest recruits from the Class of 2025, who we were able to play as a team in the Under 20 Youth competition. All have been regulars at training and social catch ups and have energised the Club with their presence. Well done, gents. Certainly a high bar for next year's incoming group.

SPOC Basketball was thrilled to have four teams take part in the Old Scholars Intercol event, and we hope to welcome many more players to Saturday basketball with us in the future. SPOC presented an award at the St Peter's Basketball Presentation Night and moves are underway to strengthen the connection between SPSC Students and Old Scholars on and off the court. Recruitment for the 2027 season will begin at the SPOC Welcome BBQ on October 21st in the Burchnall Sports Centre.

Whilst heartbreakingly unsuccessful in the 3 Old Scholar's Week matches played in July, our SPOC C team pulled off a match for the ages to win the SABL Div 2 In Season Tournament Final in August against the favoured PAOC.

After the conclusion of finals, we'll hold our End Of Season Presentation to reflect on the efforts of all with Awards for each team at Republic Norwood on Saturday October 17th.
