In response to the rise in popularity of School Basketball in the early 1990’s through the efforts of then Master in Charge of Basketball, Steve Webber, SPOC Basketball Club was established in 1993. Rising from one team, the Club started with a golden era awash with Premierships. In 2020 SPOC were the back-to-back Division 1 Champions in the Winter Saturday afternoon competition. Last season SPOC Basketball Club also achieved a record of 8 registered teams (with many making finals) and the Club is continuing to grow. 

The Club spirit continues to attract recent school leavers giving them a chance to continue to play with friends and meet up with current players.

Weekly trainings are held on Tuesdays at 7.30pm from early April until mid-September in the Burchnall Sports Centre. All welcome!

The persistence and dedication of club founder and current Club Manager, William Strangways, has been rewarded with sustained success, buoyed by a steady influx of enthusiastic school leavers.
