With the presentation night completed and the award winners enjoying a few refreshments out of their pewters, season 2025/26 is now officially behind us.
It’s been a long season but one with plenty of highlights. 176 by Felix Polasek (SHT 2025) in the B grade vs Goodwood was the highest score of the year by any batsmen and a seriously impressive effort from a guy who had only just completed his year 12 exams. With the ball, Ashwin Atukorala (HWD 2022), Lachlan Monu (WDK 2024), Ben Harris, Yash Patil (WDK 2021), and Thomas Walker (S&A 2024) were the highest wicket takers in an innings, all claimed a 5 for in various grades throughout the year.
Charlie Potter (HWD 2017) had a great year in the A grade taking home no less than 3 pewters and 2 medals, and congratulations to Sam Wheaton (SCH 2002) who was awarded his life membership. The full list of award winners is listed below.

It was exciting to have both our A and B grade T20 sides in finals contention, however special tribute must go to our B grade who put in one of the most remarkable seasons in recent history.
With zero wins on the board at Christmas no one could have anticipated what happened in the second half of the season. They effectively came from nowhere to beat the top side Walkerville in a low scoring semi-final, then went on to win the 1s innings in the Grand Final vs Adelaide Lions by 2 runs. Though they unfortunately lost the grand final overall in the second innings, the determination and never say die attitude displayed by Captain Luke Minicozzi (MAC 2011) and the team was exceptional. There are plenty of positive signs to build on for next season.
Our club cannot function without the support of our wider community and so we would like to make the following acknowledgments.
A sincere thank you to our Vice Presidents and Sponsors who have made such a big contribution to our club yet again this year, we are extremely grateful for all you do for us.
To all the volunteers, friends, family, and supporters who have helped our players on and off the field this season, we similarly are very appreciative for your involvement.
Finally thank you to St Peter’s College for the positive connection we have with the school community, and for allowing us to play on such magnificent grounds. Thank you to SPOC, particularly Prue Kline for the great support the old scholar’s association provides all sporting clubs.
It’s been a tough season at times but importantly we finished on a high note and everyone can now enjoy a well earned break. Stay tuned for updates in the off-season and we look forward to seeing you all when season 2026/27 kicks off in October.
