SPOC Basketball Club has had another triumphant season. We are at an all time high with nine teams representing the Club in 2025. We were proud to have five teams make the Preliminary finals and two teams to win Premierships.
Our Cs continued their strong run and won their Old Scholars’ Week Intercol match however our As and Bs were overpowered.
Republic Norwood continued as our social gathering location and another enjoyable Presentation Night was held there in September. Charles Newland was crowned Club Champion and Mitch Heynen took out Club Man of the Year.
Sadly, the Club lost an icon in 2025 with the passing of William Strangways, whose pioneering contribution has set the Club up for what it is today. His funeral saw current and former players from across the decades attend to pay their respects.
Many 2025 school leavers have shown an interest in playing for SPOC Basketball next year. 2026 season training will commence in April.
