This season we are proud to say we have eight teams again.

Six are entered in SACBA [Church League] and two in the smaller SABL based at Marden Sports Centre.

The SAABL competition we were involved with for the past five years collapsed in March due to financial problems.

We have had an interesting first couple of months of the Winter 2024 season . Trainings have been well attended -averaging 40 players. The sessions have been run by Josiah Whittaker again this season.

Our first Social Night at our new sponsor “The Republic Norwood” was a great success with a total of  44 players and friends turning up!

Although we have 69 registered players again this season we are experiencing a real squeeze on our A team with currently five players overseas. We have a total of nine overseas at present !  Amazing ! Couple more going late June / July .

A team wins 2/7 , B team 2/5, C team 7/7,  D team 2/5, E team 2 wins plus 1 draw 2 loss
F team 3/5, G team 2/5, H team 3/5 .
Although the results don’t look great (apart from the C team - undefeated), when we have full teams we are very competitive .

I expect to have at least half our teams playing in finals in September.
