Matthew Goh (YNG 2015) awarded physics prize

Our newest Rhodes Scholar, IB graduate Matthew Goh (YNG 2015) has continued to excel. To add to his incredibly impressive list of achievements, Matthew has recently been awarded the TH Laby Medal by the Australian Institute of Physics. This annual award recognises the top Physics Honours or Master’s thesis in Australia.

Matthew received the award in recognition of his thesis “feedback control of atomic Fermi gases”, a theoretical investigation into the application of closed-loop quantum control techniques to fermionic atoms, which he completed at the Research School of Physics, Australian National University.

Matthew’s talents and drive seem boundless, and we look forward to the next instalment in what has so far been an amazing journey.
