On Sunday 22 March, forty lifetime friends of Saints, old scholars and their families, came together at Jim Barry Wines for an afternoon that was as relaxed as it was meaningful. Hosted by St Peter's College and the Barry family, Tom, Olivia, and Sam the setting provided the perfect backdrop for good conversation, great wine, and shared experience.
What stood out most was how easily people reconnected. Conversations picked up quickly, with boarding house stories and school-day memories returning with humour and familiarity. These stories, often well-worn but always well-loved, were shared not just among old friends but with partners and families, offering a window into an important part of their lives.
There was a genuine sense of enjoyment in simply being together - no agenda, just time to talk, reflect, and reconnect. Alongside the laughter, there were quieter acknowledgments of the role SPSC has played in shaping friendships, values, and life paths as the Headmaster provided some unique insights into life at SPSC as it is now.
It was a reminder that the Saints community extends well beyond the school years, carried forward through relationships, shared history, and occasions like this that bring people back together.
