The SPOC tennis club has had a terrific start to the 2021/22 Metro Lawn tennis season. With the increasing number of female players, the committee decided to offer a mixed doubles competition to further capitalise on these new recruits. The mixed doubles team had a great win last weekend by defeating their opponents 6 rubbers to 0. Notable mentions are also extended to the SPOC Mens Div 4 white team for finishing 2nd on the ladder prior to the Christmas break. We also extend an invite to the whole SPOC community to join us at the club’s pub sponsorship, The Republic, which has proved to be a very popular spot for a social catch up for all teams after Saturday games.
