The Old Scholars’ Boat Race to be postponed

Last night, Blackmore Club & PAOCRC were advised by Adelaide City Council the River Torrens is closed to all water-based activitiesuntil further notice due to sub-standard water quality.

After a discussions this morning between the Blackmore Club & PAOCRC, both clubs have unanimously agreed to postpone this Saturday's races on October 17th. We will look to reschedule the event once it is safe to get back on the Torrens.

Both clubs will be closely monitoring the situation and share further updates, along with a plan on alternative arrangement, as soon as we can.

While both clubs are disappointed by this setback, the positive is that it gives an oppertunity for both clubs to potentially get out in a boat and train (and maybe even hit peak performance on race day!).
