After many years away, the Old Scholars’ Boat Race is returning to the River Torrens and we are looking for past rowers who are interested in getting back in a boat.
On Saturday 17th of October 2026, The Blackmore Club and the Prince Alfred Old Collegians’ Rowing Club will reignite this historic rivalry with three VIII races across three age categories:
The races will be held on the original Torrens course between the Weir and Elder Park, with crews competing for The Blades, a new perpetual trophy that will become the prize for this annual Old Scholars’ rivalry.
We Want You in the Boat!
You don't need to have rowed recently. Whether you have been out of a boat for a few months or a few decades, this is an opportunity to reconnect with old teammates, meet fellow Saints rowers and enjoy the unique experience of representing your school once again.
The aim is to get enough expressions of interest to build competitive crews across all three age categories. If you have old teammates who might be interested, share this email with them and encourage them to register their interest together. We will work with those interested to organise crews and provide further information about race arrangements.
There is no commitment to race at this stage. Registering your interest simply helps us understand who is available and allows us to start putting crews together.
