What a season! SPOC rounded out the season in second place, with a nail bighting final played against Vikings Water Polo. The Grand Final was tight… Ridiculously tight, 2-2 at quarter time, 5-5 at half time, 8-6 at three quarter time (our way) and unfortunately, we went down in the dying seconds to finish 1 goal behind 13-12.
Our new recruit Daniel Esparon took out the Season MVP, Llewy Smith (FRR 2015) managed to get his hands on the J. Horsnell Cup and Jack Duggan (FLL 2018) scored our award for highest goal scoring, racking up a staggering 34 for the season.

Although this wasn’t the result we were wanting, when we look back on the season, we can see many highlights; the commissioning of the P.A. Hadfield Cup – awarded to the winner of an annual match between SPOC and the Saints Open A’s, a club re-brand, with new speedos, uniforms, merch and an updated social media presence, recruiting countless new faces into the team, and continuing to build an awesome club culture.
