The St Peter’s Old Collegians Association is delighted to partner with Healthy Minds to launch a new series of events focused on supporting the wellbeing, resilience and connection of our Old Scholar community.
As part of Mental Health Month, we warmly invite you to join us for the first session in the series – a wellbeing session designed to offer practical strategies that we believe are useful to old scholars at every stage of life.
Wellbeing Strategies for Challenging Times
Date: Wednesday 28 October 2026
Time: 6.00pm - 6.45pm ACDT
Venue: Online via Zoom
Presenter: Dr Tom Nehmy, clinical psychologist
Cost: Free for all members of our community
Life can put pressure on us in all sorts of ways – study, work, family, relationships, health, finances and unexpected change.
In this 45-minute session, Tom will share practical, evidence-based strategies for navigating those periods well. He will cover how our thinking influences the way we feel and respond, how to manage stress and setbacks, the importance of self-compassion, and the role that our values, strengths and relationships play in resilience.
The focus is not just on understanding wellbeing. It is on giving you strategies you can actually use.
We hope you can join us for this important conversation, and encourage you to extend the invitation to the old scholars in your family and wider community.
Register your interest below and we will send you the link to join the virtual session prior to the event.
