Old scholars are warmly invited to join Tim Browning, Headmaster, staff and students of St Peter’s College at the School’s Anzac Memorial Service.
Date: Tuesday 30 April 2024
Time: 10.20am – 12.00pm
Venue: Lawns in front of Memorial Hall. Old scholars are asked to stand on the path leading to the eastern side of Memorial Hall. Limited seating will be available.
Partners and guests of old scholars are welcome to attend.
Format:
10.25am-10.45am: List of the Fallen read by School Captains and Prefects
10.45am Welcome and service including the performance of a short musical piece composed by old scholar The Hon W.A.N. (Andrew) Wells, AO, QC (W&A 1937) from the dust and conflict of Tobruk in 1941.
Major Chris Roe (MAC 1980) will read the Ode of Remembrance and lay a wreath on behalf of old scholars.
11.20am Morning Tea will be provided in Big School Room
Senior School students who have old scholar relatives attending this service will be invited to join them at morning tea.
Car parking: Please note limited car parking will be available in the Hackney Road and North Terrace car parks. Given the location of the service, we suggest parking in nearby Pembroke Street or Baliol Street or utilising a taxi service. Pedestrian entry only via Bruce Gates (Trinity Street).
Kindly note that our service is scheduled for the first school day following Anzac Day, thereby enabling our staff, students, and families to attend their respective local services. We look forward to sharing this special service with our old scholar community.
